About Me

Self Inquiry Group (SIG) first started almost 20 years ago when friends with the same questions began meeting every Wednesday to discuss their spiritual path and the way to awakening. The original group were students of the West Virginia Zen Master, Richard Rose. The gathering drew others of like-mind with the same perplexing questions and desire to not just know truth, but to be Truth. Bart Marshall has attended every week since the beginning and continues to do so since his Realization in 2004. His voice became "the voice" of SIG and his steadfast commitment to the group of friends gave birth to Bart as the leader and founder of SIG. The extraordinary uniqueness of SIG is the essence of community. The collaboration and fellowship of so many friends is essential to its existence. As Richard Rose said, "There is no religion greater than friendship."
