Well Being Retreat Center is offering a 3-night mostly silent New Years Retreat led by Don Oakley, author of "It's Time to Wake Up Now: The Top Ten Myths that Can Hijack Spiritual Awakening," a five star rated book on Amazon, and by Patty Bottari, a Director of Well Being Foundation and longtime employee and student of both Adyashanti and Byron Katie.

We can't quite believe that this will be our 12th New Years Retreat, but it's true. It has always been a delightfully quiet and introspective way to bring in the New Year for those of us who have outgrown kazoos. It has always been a time of meeting new friends and perhaps seeing friends from events past.

"This Event will be devoted to exploring deeply into the Nature of our Existence."

About the Retreat: This retreat is a non-denominational opportunity to explore one’s own true nature – free from the everyday distractions and busyness of our lives. The weekend will include silent sittings in the serenity of our meeting room, guided meditations, inquiry, structured sharing and a guided inquiry talks by Don Oakley.. Closing Sharing Circle will be led by Patty Bottari. All activities during the retreat are voluntary, of course. However, we ask that you remain fully engaged in the spirit of the retreat for the duration of the event and not simply use the time for a personal vacation.

The retreat will begin with check-in on Wednesday afternoon December 30th and will end mid-day on Saturday January 2nd. All sessions will be held at the open-air Powell River Pavilion with appropriately spaced seating. Electric wraparound stadium blankets and electric foot warmers will be provided for everyone. Well Being will provide breakfasts during the retreat which will also be served at the Pavilion. Please plan to bring and prepare food for your lunches and suppers. All cabins have kitchenettes. Maximum one person per bedroom except for couples. Shared two bedroom room cabins are available for consenting friends. Cost $150. There is limited space and you can register here for the event.
