The Invitation

"Most people have two things happening most of the time: what they do and what they think about what they are doing. We may feel any discrepancy between these two function as self-judgment, guilt, shame, regret, despair, envy, anxiety or lack of self-will. Such feelings can then propagate more self-judgment, etc. So how do we extract ourselves from this loop? How can we get out of our own way and function with authenticity."

Who This Retreat Is For

This retreat is for anyone with a sincere interest in discovering what this life is truly about and who, or what, is living it.

The retreat is non-denominational, but Don will draw on useful pointers from all major wisdom traditions.

No previous meditation experience or spiritual practice is required, although the program will offer value to practitioners with all levels of experience

What You Can Expect

  • Don will speak during periods of guided meditations, discourses, and dialogue sessions.

  • Patty will lead the silent sitting (meditation) periods.

  • All the sessions are voluntary, of course, but we ask that you remain engaged and present for the duration of the retreat.

Lodging Options:

We offer a variety of simple and comfortable accommodations designed to support your retreat experience.

Shared Cabins

  • Guests attending alone will be paired with a same-gender roommate in a shared cabin, unless a private cabinette is selected.

  • Guests attending with a friend or partner who wish to room together will be assigned housing in one of our tiny houses or earth shelter cabins.

  • Shared cabins include an apartment-sized refrigerator, a two-burner electric cooktop, and basic kitchen utensils. Tiny house cabins are equipped with a microwave, while earth shelter cabins feature a toaster oven.

Private Cabinettes

  • For those seeking a private space, our cabinettes offer single-occupancy lodging. Each cabinette includes a small personal-sized refrigerator, a fan, a space heater (if needed), and a ventilation fan.

  • Bathroom and shower facilities for cabinettes are located a short walk away inside the Conference Building, which is open 24/7.

  • Cabinettes do not have in-room kitchens, but guests staying in them will have access to the Conference Building kitchen to prepare simple meals.

Cost for this 2-Night In-Person Retreat is $295 which includes tuition, lodging, housekeeping, and 2 meals (Friday supper and Sunday lunch) as well as drinks and snacks.
