"Way Past Midnight", a five decade multimedia musical retrospective show with Grammy nominated Maria Muldaur of "Midnight at the Oasis" fame, will be held on Tuesday night November 4 at 8 PM at The Grey Eagle.  Tickets in advance are $15 at this link http://thegreyeagle.com/events/maria-muldaur/ and $20 at the door. This is a rare treat for Asheville! Maria performs in nearly every genre of 'American Roots Music' - blues (winner of several prestigious Blues Foundation Awards), soul, folk, pop, rock, gospel, bluegrass and Appalachian "Old Time" music -  - with her powerful range and her soulful heart, and has made 40 albums since "Midnight" topped the billboard charts in 1974. The multimedia show will feature many moments with the greatest musicians of our times, anecdotal stories, and her most requested numbers, performed by Maria and her Bluesiana band. Maria is featured in Martin Scorsese's  must-see documentary film on (and with) Bob Dylan,  "No Direction Home", available on Netflix.

Tickets $15 Adv $20 At The Door

Doors open at 7:00pm

  • Where were you when you first heard "Midnight at the Oasis"? Now you can hear Maria sing this live with her fabulous Bluesiana Band... along with many of her most loved songs right here in Asheville, after the polls close. Warming up for Maria are Riyen Roots and Kenny Dore, Asheville's own Blues men. Here's a reminder of her megahit and why we all love it so, four decades later!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whYiOJ2iBE0
