The poems I have selected for this gathering are the deepest I have ever recited. Perhaps the most amazing quality of Rumi's poetry is his ability to express the inexpressible. These poems I will be sharing are the closest feeling to that nondefinable reality that I have
experienced. Tonight is not for beginners. I will be reciting 16 poems I have never presented before along with several others that merge with the theme of the evening. Most of the poems come from Rumi with a few from Hafiz, Lalla, and others. I am so excited about turning these poems free into the sky and I can only imagine you will feel their power and beauty as I do.
