"There is a nourishment like bread that feeds one part of your life

and nourishment like light for another.

There are many rules about restraint with the former,

but only lone rule for the latter, Never be satisfied.

Eat and drink the soul substance,

as a wick does with the oil it soaks in.

Give light to the company."  Rumi

Spring is upon us and it feels like time to eat and drink the soul substance of the Mystics and to dip our wicks into that divine oil (see attached flyer). It is not so much that the Mystic's poems carry meaning but that they impart Presence. It is in that Presence that we can remember within ourselves the feeling of our true home and the essential belonging.

I love sharing these poems. I love that we gather and listen together and imbibe the wonderful feeling. For this event I am happy to say that I will once again be accompanied by Theo Chappell on red cedar flute and Daniel Chambo on drums. Those of you who came to the last evening of poetry and music can testify to how the music embellishes the sweet sound of the words. This promises to be another rich evening.

This event will be happening on Saturday, April 2nd beginning at 7:00 PM.

The event will be held at The Center for Spiritual Living on 2 Mind of Way Ave. in west Asheville. The Poetry Evening will be held in what is called "The Sanctuary" which is a beautiful auditorium- like room with comfortable seating in cloth chairs for up to 300 people. It is a wonderful setting befitting our gathering where we will "never be satisfied."

I do hope to see you there. With love and appreciation,

~ Kaveen
