Meditation provides direct experience.  Whether you’re exploring consciousness, seeking a spiritual path, or simply cultivating personal well being, meditation is endless experimentation.  With experimentation, we gather information and gain a clear picture of the true nature of our reality.  With clarity, we understand how to live well and find meaning in our lives.

This meditation retreat will serve as a platform to support your practice, wherever it’s at, and aims to provide a space where it can deepen and flourish.  It will be filled with extended periods of meditation, personal interviews, evening teachings. nourishing food, and natural surroundings.

Upasaka Upali (Paul Peterson) is a meditation teacher from a style that combines ancient meditation techniques with modern cognitive science.   His teaching strives to provide tangible instruction, inspire consistent practice, and create a rewarding meditation experience.
About Upasaka Upali (Paul Peterson)
Upali is a community organizer and organic farmer by trade but became interested in meditation along the way. He has taught a wide array of meditators, from federal prison inmates to elementary school students.  Currently, he dedicates much time teaching through eSangha, an online global community of meditators.  Upali is a teacher in training with Upasaka Culadasa, author of The Mind Illuminated, and his lineage can be traced to Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.

The retreat will be held in noble silence (meaning minimal talking and distraction).  It is open to beginning and advanced practitioners alike.   The only prerequisite to attend is a history of consistent meditation practice.  It will largely be taught in the style of The Mind Illuminated by Upasaka Culadasa, but all traditions and styles of meditation are welcome.  If you have any questions about whether this retreat will be a good fit for you, send a message to upasakaupali@gmail.com

Accommodations (lodging, meals and snacks) for this 3 night retreat range from $255 to $445, depending on the lodging selected.
