Aile (Amana) Shebar, published author, poet, Reiki Master, voted one of the "Best of WNC" Creative Writing Teachers by the Mountain Xpress, teacher and group facilitator for more than 18 years, is offering her signature process, Writing from the Heart, using writing themes and prompts, and tips for any creative process, along with her guidance and skills as a compassionate writing and life coach, on Saturday, April 30, in Asheville, from 2-5:30 PM, venue to be announced.

Urged to share this process for Self-Inquiry by her satguru H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), she utilizes principles of her writing mentors Natalie Goldberg (Writing Down the Bones), Julia Cameron (The Artist’s Way), Joan Logghe (Poet Laureate of Santa Fe), poets Robert Bly, Judyth Hill, Allen Ginsberg, playwright Sam Shepard, and others… and gives them new breath, aliveness and meaning.

You don’t have to be a writer to attend, and writers in every genre can benefit. You’ll bring tools that last a lifetime, home with you... for meditation, Self-reflection and inquiry. This process is especially valuable and inspiring for those who are not using their full creative potential and wish to. Every gathering is brand new in theme, writing prompts, teaching and meditation tools used, guidance, community participants, feedback, and is shared in a safe environment, right from the heart. No two workshops are ever the same, so whether this is your first time or your 20th time, there is something fresh and meaningful for you to explore in our session together, and to take home and utilize for your projects your Writing Practice, your life.

  • "I didn’t trust it for a moment,
    But I drank it anyway,
The wine of my own poetry.

It gave me the daring to take hold
Of the darkness and tear it down
And cut it into little pieces." ~ Lalla Ded

Are you ready to cut those 'little pieces' out of the darkness (or out of the light) and meet your inner passion for self-expression, your potent creativity, in words? Come write with us this Saturday, April 30, from 2-5:30 PM, and be inspired by those who have gone before, the wise ones, whose poetry, music and art take us to new heights and unexplored depths. Our writing prompts for this session of Writing from the Heart of Spring will be full of running sap and grapes crushed into wine, just for you to use in your Writing Practice. Let's get drunk on Inspiration and Write from the Heart, together. ♥
